Charity Events

These are the charity events we have held over the past few years to support NHS and other charities.

Three Peaks Sponsored Walk

In August 2019, seven of us from Howard Conrad team tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The challenge took the team 37KM distance, with a total ascent of 3064 meters.

We completed the challenge in 10 hours and 11 minutes! Over £200 was raised for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Thank You NHS!

Over the next few months, we will be putting our heads together to think of different ways we can support the NHS and its staff. Here are just a few things we have got planned and some of the things we have done so far:

  • We will be giving away five free screen replacements for NHS staff, worth up to £259 each.
  • We are doing a 20 mile sponsored walk on the Harrogate ringway to raise money for NHS Charities Together
  • The team will be completing a sponsored bike ride for NHS Charities Together
  • NHS staff are eligible for (until the end of August 2021)
    1. A FREE tempered glass screen protector
    2. 20% off screen replacements
    3. 10% off everything else at Howard Conrad
    4. A free Howard Conrad air freshener

Harrogate Ringway Sponsored Walk

In August 2020 the Howard Conrad team took on the Harrogate Ringway, a 32KM walk around the perimeter of Harrogate, in order to raise money for NHS Charities Together – a focus of our charitable efforts this year.

We are hoping to raise £1,000 for the NHS Charities Together charity as the team at Howard Conrad acknowledged that the NHS and NHS workers have and continue to work tirelessly to keep us all safe and healthy throughout the pandemic.

iPads for School Kids

We have heard in the news that there are some children who don’t have access to the technology that they need in order to participate online classes from their school in Harrogate and surrounding areas.

According to the Children’s Commissioner for England Anne Longfield’s team “Up to 8 million children are likely to lose out on six months or more of education as a result of the coronavirus crisis”.

We’ve decided to try and help out where we can.

We are calling on you – the local community of Harrogate to help by donating their unwanted smashed iPad’s.

We will then repair the iPad’s to our usual high standards then donate them to schools in Harrogate and surrounding areas. The schools will then distribute these iPads to the children who are most in need.

We are currently working with the Red Kite Trust who operate a number of schools in Harrogate and Leeds. (2021)
